How long does windshield chip repair take?
Most windshield chip repairs take 20 to 45 minutes. Mobile repair can often be completed at your home, office, or parking location with no shop visit.

The technician cleans the damaged area, removes air and moisture, injects resin, cures it with UV light, and polishes the surface. You can usually drive immediately after repair.
Multiple chips, larger star breaks, or contaminated damage may take longer. Old damage can also be harder to repair cleanly.
Repairing quickly improves the result and reduces the chance that the chip spreads into a crack that requires full replacement.
