Is chip repair better than windshield replacement?
Chip repair is better when the damage is small, fresh, and outside the driver's critical vision area. It saves the original glass, costs less, and usually takes less than an hour.

Repair works by injecting resin into the damaged area, bonding the glass, and stopping the chip from spreading. It is not only cosmetic; it helps restore strength around the impact point.
Replacement is required when the crack is too long, the chip is too large, damage reaches the edge, or the driver's view would remain distorted after repair.
If the chip qualifies, repair avoids ADAS recalibration because the original windshield and camera position stay in place.
